Film
I started out film-making by doing ridiculous improvised comedy sketches on my phone. I played all the characters and edited it by pausing the recording, then unpausing it when I'd dressed up and got into the next character.

This was all facilitated by having a temp job with the NHS. During this time I got paid to do absolutely nothing but be alone for 90% of the week in an empty building with no work to do, no TV or internet access... Just me, some books, my phone and sensory deprivation.

Anyway you're not going to see any of those so, onto actual stuff...

Camera Operator on the regional BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Had the pleasure of meeting the presenters and crew at BBC Newcastle, attended preparation meetings, prepared the studio and took on some pretty good live TV direction tips during Look North from inside the control room.

Mistletoe
Directed and performed (not by choice!!!) in second year university drama 'Mistletoe'. A film about a muslim supermarket worker struggling to just get on with things over the christmas period, with a manager who is politically correct to a damaging extent. This was a 'group project' and many of the other crew sis not have much experience, particularly the sound department whounfortunately had never held a boom or worked on a film before. Watch it here, or click the image below.

Animation
I sometimes dabble in animation, usually doing hand drawn 'cute' stuff in Flash. My animations have been used by Gateshead Council, and the Elfrida Society.
